Our ready-made templates are the easiest way to start monitoring your metrics.
There are two steps to set up a template:
Pick relevant data (mandatory)
Pick relevant audience (optional)
1. Pick relevant data (mandatory)
In every template, you can choose the relevant data coming from your data source.
June is built on top of Segment which in turn relies on
track event : actions performed in your product
page views : product pages opened
This means you can pick track events AND/OR page views to set up your templates.
example: In case you want to set up the feature adoption template, you can select all the track events triggered when the feature is used.

2. Select an audience (mandatory)
The second step consists in choosing who is eligible audience target of your analysis.
You can do so by imposing conditions:
On events (e.g. only users that logged_in less than 5 times)
On user traits (e.g. plan is free)
On company traits (e.g. company name is "June")
Traits are user user and company specific. This means that you can impose conditions only on the traits that you have implemented in Segment.
ex: you can remove your team members from your analyses
Changing audiences is useful to make a more in-depth analysis of certain audiences. You can easily duplicate reports in June and change the audience to then make comparisons.
