A. If you have access to Segment

1. During the signup

Upon signing up, you will be prompted to connect Segment to June.

Step 1: Click "Add a source'

Step 2: Enable the June app for the right source

Pick the right source in the dropdown and click "Allow":

Step 3. Repeat the step 1 and 2 in case you have several sources

Please pick all the sources relevant to using your product.

2. From the settings

Step 1. Click your logo > Click "Settings and Integrations"

Click the Segment card > click "Add more sources"

Step 2: Enable the June app for the right source

Pick the right source in the dropdown and click "Allow":

Step 3. Repeat the step 1 and 2 in case you have several sources

Please pick all the sources relevant to using your product.

B. If you don't have access to Segment or don't have the right permission

In case you don't have access to Segment but want to connect it to June we suggest you invite a colleague to your June workspace and ask him/her to complete the Step A.

Alternatively you can request one of your Segment admin to do it from Segment.

What is Segment?

Segment is a service that simplifies collecting and using data from the users of your digital properties (websites, apps, etc). Segment simplifies the process of collecting data and hooking up new tools, allowing you to spend more time using your data, and less time trying to collect it (quick video here)

Is it secured to connect Segment to June?

We take serious measures to make sure your data stays safe.

What type of data does June receive from Segment?

You will only be able to get identify calls, group calls, and track events from your Segment data source. We do not support Segment's journeys, dashboards, etc.

Is my set up working properly?

Checking if you are receiving data correctly is a good practice.

To do so:

head to June and open the Events section and then click on View live feed in the top right of the page
If everything is working you should see events flowing into June, like this

head to June and open the People section in the left navigation sidebar.
