Notes help you annotate your dashboards in June—whether to highlight trends, explain context, or simply keep track of thoughts.
How to add a note
There are two ways to add a note:
From the top bar:
By right-clicking:
Your note will appear at the top of the dashboard with the default text:
“Write something or insert an image…”
Editing your note
Text formatting: Notes support rich text formatting including bold, italic, and underline, as shown in the editor toolbar.
Images: You can also insert images using the image icon in the toolbar.
Moving and resizing
Resize: Use the double arrow in the bottom right corner of the note to switch between small, medium, and large sizes.
Reposition: Drag your note anywhere on the canvas using the six dots at the top of the note.

What to write in a note
You can use notes in many ways depending on who the dashboard is for. Here are some common examples we've seen:
Interpret the data: Summarize what the numbers are showing. Add quick takeaways so others don’t have to dig.
Explain context: Include background on what the analysis is based on—e.g., feature launches, recent campaigns, or a specific cohort.
Add faces and links: For shared dashboards, especially those used with customers, people often include:
A photo of the CSM in charge
A link to book a call
The customer’s success plan with checkboxes and due dates
A link to the latest QBR deck
